Evaluating Movies: Step Brothers

Step Brothers has to be my favorite movie of all time. The first time I saw this movie, I was crying from laughing too hard. I have seen this movie so many times now. I have to admit, I still laugh every single time. The actors did a great job portraying themselves as their characters. Their job was to act stupid and funny at the same time. The main actors they chose, Will Ferrell and John Reilly, nailed it. The camera angles seemed to be always just right. It really portrayed the comedic mood in each scene. An example would be when Brennan Huff (Will Ferrell) was seeing his therapist, and he kept telling her how much he loved her, in a very dirty way. The camera switched back and forth between the two. Her facial expressions were priceless. Some of the lines in the movie were instant classics! I still find myself quoting some of them every once and a while. The music video that the step brothers made together was genius, although it was extremely explicit. It was one of the many hilarious scenes in the movie. I don't think I even have a favorite scene, there are too many to choose from. The film had many attention grabbers, such as puns and other ironic lines. If you haven't seen Step Brothers, it's a must see. I will say it is probably for younger crowds, depending on your sense of humor.
